At Northway Construction we believe that

When designing and
building - as in so many things in life - the goal is value. It's
all too easy to define value strictly as cost. If this were the
case, the least expensive bicycle would be a better value than the
finest BMW. Cost is only one element of
value.
In custom building, value
incorporates these key components: quality, timeliness, service, and cost. Achieving maximum
value in construction is easy to say, but extremely difficult to
accomplish.
Each of the
four elements contributes to value and they are very much
interrelated. For example:

Value
There is much focus in the building industry
today on the appearance, or outer quality, of the finished
product. This is just one of the two kinds of quality that
affect value -the other is inner
quality.
Inner quality is vital to a building's
durability and overall integrity. It is the heart of the structure.
Achieving inner quality requires spending time during the design
process to ensure the building will function as the system it is.
Some elements involved are:

framing technique
•
attention to detail during insulation and
air barrier installation
•
engineering and installation of the
heating and cooling systems
• testing the finished product before
you move in
A high level of inner quality means a
safer, more comfortable building, less maintenance and fewer repairs
in the future (you save headaches and money). Inner quality
allows a building to maintain its beauty and serviceability one
hundred years from now! As a rule, this kind of quality is dependent
on the skill and integrity of the builder. It occurs inside walls,
above ceilings, and under
floors.
