Dan Stanifer
Project Manager, Damage Restoration
Finding the ideal career isn’t always a direct path to success, and Dan Stanifer has the story to prove it.
Dan’s working career began unexpectedly at age 14 when the thought of skipping school to work seemed more attractive. Several years later he faced the challenge of constructing and maintaining a nuclear power plant. Good energy, but it wasn’t as inspiring a career choice as he intended to make.
Moving forward, Dan was apprenticed in the fine art of lake home construction and fell in love with the science of building. He was inspired by a desire to construct a home correctly. And yet, there was still something missing.
He desired to help.
He desired to make a difference.
He desired to be the difference.
When Northway Construction opened their doors to the new service line of damage restoration in 2008 Dan was the only reasonable choice to lead this division. His ability to feel first, think second, and act third, was everything needed to provide a higher standard of care for those who had experienced tragic loss.
Looking back, Dan’s career path didn’t follow a perfect line, but each experience along the way enabled him to do exactly what he was created to be.
Help. Serve. Give. That’s a pretty clear definition of success.
